Associate Professor in the School of Business Administration and Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs, holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Toronto, Canada.

Dr. Newark has taught Banking And Finance, Economic Theory, Economic Development and The Changing Global Economy at Athabasca University, Canada. While at Athabasce University he served as Program Director of the School of Business Administration. Dr. Newark was instrumental in developing laddered post diploma degrees providing degree completion pathways for college diploma students across Canada. He initiated and managed the international delivery of degree programs in China, Malaysia and the Caribbean.

Dr. Newark also supervised International Education programs for Douglas College in Europe and Asia. He has published in the fields of economic development and the economics of education.
