Important Information for Undergraduates
2012 Spring registration for undergraduate CUD students in good academic and financial standing has begun. New, readmitted, and transfer students may register upon admission and payment of tuition and fees.
Prior to registration in 2012 Spring courses, students are required to be in good financial and academic standing.
- If registration and payment for 2012 Spring is received before or on November 30th, a 10% reduction in the cost of the registration will apply.
- If registration and payment for the semester is received before or on December 30th, a 5% reduction will apply.
- If a payment schedule is required for 2012 Spring, fee reductions are not applicable.
Students who have not paid or signed a payment agreement by January 21st will be dropped from their courses. If payment or a payment schedule is signed after January 21st, the student may register again for the courses if space is available.
The Class Schedule is subject to change. We review the schedule, on a routine basis.
Steps to Registration
- Obtain a Registration Form and Timetable Worksheet for each semester of registration (i.e. Spring). Complete the information at the top of the Registration Form.
- Obtain a copy of your Unofficial Transcript from Enrolment Services in Block A.
- Pay 2012 Spring tuition and fees based on the number of desired courses. Ensure Student Accounts Payable stamps the 2012 Spring Registration Form.
- When students are in good financial standing, Student Accounts Payable will stamp the Spring semester Registration Form.
- Make an academic advising appointment with your Program or Academic Advisor. Determine when Academic Advising is available with your Program Chair.
- In the appointment with the Academic Advisor, complete the Academic Advisor Form. This form is only available from your Academic Advisor. Review your Unofficial Transcript. Review the study plan for your program. Report any errors or omissions to your advisor. Determine how to best make progress towards degree completion. The advisor will list approved courses for the Spring semester.
- Use the Timetable Worksheet to select the sections of the courses that best meets your needs.
- Attach the signed Academic Advisor Form and Worksheet to the Registration Form (one for Summer and one for Spring if registering for both semesters).
- Take the signed forms to Enrolment Services for processing.
For students in good academic standing who have a CPGA of 2.0 and above and with no academic warnings at the end of the 2011 Fall semester, your academic advisor will consider your academic record and circumstances when approving the list of courses for the following semester.
Students in good financial standing have a Zero AED owing or a credit balance on their student account payable and no post-dated cheques or bounced cheques in their payment history.
If a section is full or a course is not listed in the schedule, send an email to your Program Advisor requesting the course. Should sufficient demand be established, it is possible that the course will be offered.
