A. Background Information

Canadian University of Dubai offers on campus training in legal English skills, in partnership with EMG Associates (UK) Ltd.

TOLES refers to Test of Legal English Skills. The TOLES series of legal English programs and examinations pave the way for participants to gain a qualification in legal English that shows in depth competency in the field.

Program Agenda:

Participants will go through TOLES Foundation training and standard examinations and will receive a Certificate for successful completion from Canadian University of Dubai along with the TOLES Foundation score.  Participants will be assessed at the end of the program and attendance is mandatory to pass.

B. About Corporate Training at Canadian University of Dubai

Canadian University of Dubai (CUD) is a licensed University with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the United Arab Emirates. CUD provides accredited undergraduate programs in the areas of Business, Environment and Health, Architecture and Interior Design, Engineering, Applied Science and Technology, Mass Communications. Experienced University faculty and certified trainers prepare and conduct a range of tailored management consulting and corporate training services, professional courses and certificate programs, as well as academic preparation courses.  Most of the experts affiliated with corporate training at CUD are Canadian, American or European educated.  They come with international expertise in management, engineering, architecture, Islamic banking, finance, environment, healthcare management, interior design, English language and translation, communications and public relations. 

C. About EMG Associates (UK) Ltd.

EMG Associates Ltd. provides legal consultancy and training services in the UK and are also authorised by the Solicitors Regulation Authority to provide professional education for the legal and business professions.  For TOLES series of programs the trainers are also CELTA qualified.  The trainers affiliated with EMG Associates have international education and professional expertise in legal practice and also management in general.  In addition, they bring enthusiasm and commitment to conduct this program at internationally accepted standards of quality and professionalism.

Elahe Ghazinoori, EMG Associates’ principal trainer, has a wealth of experience in providing inspiring and engaging training sessions.  She is a Non-Practising Solicitor, acting as a consultant from EMG Associates, a legal consultancy firm which Elahe founded in 2006 having formerly practised as an in-house solicitor for a telecom company.  She presented courses for BPP Professional Development as a freelance presenter for nearly 2 years to CPD/PSC delegates.  Subjects included Personal/Corporate Insolvency, Private Company Acquisitions, Company Law Revisited, Presenting and Defending winding up Petitions, The Companies Act 2006 and Insolvency Litigation-Introduction.  Prior to Joining BPP Professional Development, Elahe was a lecturer for BPP Law School on the Legal Practice Course.  Subjects included Business Law and Practice and Private Company Acquisitions.  She also worked as a senior training consultant for over 5 years for one of the world’s largest corporations, American Airlines. Elahe also holds the University of Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA).
